Highly successful Indiana grain processing company is looking for an Origination & Merchandising Manager who will manage the origination and merchandising program for a key facility.
Success in this role will be driven by excellent communication skills and a true passion to talk to farmers every day. You must thrive on the opportunities and challenges of leading the charge to originate grain to feed the plant.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an agriculture or business-related field and 8 to 10 years of grain origination / merchandising experience. Candidates without a degree and 15+ years of grain origination experience will be equally considered. For all candidates, enjoying the challenge and responsibility of making sure grain continues to flow through the facility is a must. Skills in pricing, grain margins, negotiating, and basic grain accounting principles are highly preferred.
You will manage one other originator and oversee the origination / merchandising responsibilities at a primary country elevator in the center of the draw territory for the plant. No operations or facility management responsibilities are included in this position, however communication with a variety of team members is critical.

Compensation is competitive and will vary from $80,000 to $120,000+ based on experience along with excellent benefits and incentives.
